There are few things in life as stressful as that moment, standing in front of your mirror, a dozen outfits strewn about your room and realizing you don't have a thing to wear. Whether it is for a first date, a job interview, or a first day at school, putting extra thought into what you wear is inevitable. But does it really make a difference? Could the clothing you wear have any effect on the outcome of the event? Obviously no one would want to wear a cocktail dress to work out in or wear their pajamas to the first day of school (though that latter one is becoming increasingly more plausible).
